Our Fire Suppression Technicians are responsible for installing, inspecting, and maintaining fire extinguishers, fire suppression systems, and emergency lighting for our customers. We train all of our Fire Suppression Technicians to become NFPA-10 certified for inspecting and recharging portable fire extinguishers. This is a full-time, entry-level position.
Install, inspect, and maintain fire extinguishers, fire suppression systems, and emergency lighting.
Recharge portable fire extinguishers.
Pass the NFPA-10 Certification after training is completed.
High School diploma or GED.
Must be willing to work occasional nights and participate in Clark Fire Protection's on-call rotation.
Able to obtain the NFPA-10 Certification after training.
Possess strong customer relations skills.
Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
Ability to pass annual background checks, clearances, and certifications. Drug tests are administered before and periodically during employment.
Must be able to work in extreme conditions (i.e.: hot, cold, dirty environment).
Ability to bend, reach, kneel, and stand for long periods of time.
Work on ladders following OSHA regulations.
Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds.
