Clark Service Group is seeking a Senior Payroll Administrator to process weekly payroll for 200 employees in a multi-company and multi-state environment. The Payroll Administrator is responsible for all tasks necessary to accomplish the organization’s payroll processing objectives with a high degree of confidentiality.


  • Process weekly payroll.

  • Process prevailing wage reports.

  • Review all timecards and receive appropriate approvals prior to payment weekly.

  • Enter, update, and monitor PTO balances and Wellness Time.

  • Address and assist employees with resolving unusual work issues regarding time entry. Resolve any paychecks discrepancies.

  • Notify employees and process child support, garnishment, and court mandated subpoenas for payroll withholding.

  • Review new hires, terminations, and employee changes to maintain accurate payroll data and ensure that necessary corrections are addressed.

  • Respond to inquiries from employees on salary, tax, leave, benefits, and other payroll issues.

  • Compute all salary adjustments including contract changes, garnishment, vacation payouts, special separation allowance, workers compensation, and leave without pay.

  • Prepare and timely file quarterly, monthly, and annual payroll tax returns across all federal, state, and local tax jurisdictions.

  • Serve as the main contact of Clark Service Group’s 401K program, including employee set up, deductions, contribution changes, and distributions upon termination.

  • Create, update, and maintain all payroll guidelines and procedures.

  • Assist with internal control recommendations as they relate to payroll operations.

  • Remain confidential and ethical in all business practices.

  • Perform related tasks as required.

  • Promote a positive work environment and company culture.


  • Minimum of 3-5 years of payroll experience.

  • Prevailing wage experience (preferred).

  • Experience with payroll tax filing.

  • Knowledge of payroll law regulations across multiple states.

  • Attention to detail.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Human Resources experience (preferred).
